Lilli in Australia

Yes, you’re right: this is the homepage of Lilian in the land of Kangaroos, Koalas and the lot! Rather than telling you all the long stories about what happened since I arrived in Australia, I use this site as a platform to publish all the heaps of photos I took during my stay. It’s an easy way to show them to all of you. Just click yourself through the page to be up to date with “Lil in OZ” :-) …(more under post “G’day mate!”)

My mum's here! - Great Ocean Road

Also with my mum I had a really great time on the Great Ocean Road. We booked a day-trip with GoWest Tours for March 9. That was really great! The tour guide and the other people were nice, the atmosphere good. Only it was again a day with a lot of driving, but worth it!

And there we go: the London Bridge. This rock was formed as all the others along the Great Ocean Road by a gradual process of erosion, and until 1990 formed a complete natural double-span bridge. The arch closest to the shoreline collapsed unexpectedly on January 15, 1990 leaving two tourists stranded on the outer part: they were then rescued by a helicopter. Prior to the collapse, the formation was known as London Bridge because of its similarity to its namesake (what in my opinion didn't look at all like it), but after that accident it has actually been renamed to London Arch.
