Magnetic Island - Airlie Beach (QLD Trip)

It is Sunday, April 9. We wake up and since the previous evening it hasn't stopped raining. Not too good as a walk on the island is scheduled... Infact, the pictures show that due to the weather conditions some people opt out from the walk that in the end only this little group remains, brave to face all kinds of rain. But we were lucky, our rainjackets seem to scare the rain and it stopped...

In the late morning we have to catch the ferry back to mainland Townsville, making our long way to Airlie Beach, gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. We stay overnight at the Beaches Backpacker's in whose pub/restaurant we enjoy dinner, drinks and the excitement of the prospect of the upcoming highlight: the 3-day sailing trip.

Having done the last 3 days a very good job, Max (our guide) will leave us tomorrow, continuing along the East Coast towards Brisbane with people just coming back from the sailing.
