Tennant Creek - Alice Springs (Outback trip)
Day 6
Damn! -2°C this morning!!! But I slept well in my swag outside :-) And as sleeping bags work with body heat I just wore my pyjamas - was enough!

Exploring the mysterious formations of Devil's Marbles, naturally rounded and oval boulders called Karlu Karlu by the local Aborigines.
These two below are called "King Kong's balls"

The remarkable geological formations have been formed by mechanical weatherings (that cracked the rocks) and chemical weatherings (which flaked the surfaces off).

In Wauchope...

...we just climb into a parked road train

A road train is a trucking concept used in remote areas of Australia to move bulky loads efficiently. In outback areas they often pull several trailers (three and more) which makes them quite unwieldy. Pulling and maneuvering them is only possible because of the lack of traffic on Australia's Outback roads and the terrain's flatness.
The Tropic of Capricorn is one of the five major circles of latitude that mark maps of the Earth. It is the farthest southern latitude that the sun can appear directly overhead. Its equivalent in the northern hemisphere is the Tropic of Cancer. North of this line are the Tropics.

Arrived in Alice Springs we stayover in Melanka's Backpackers.

After a wonderful shower and a short stroll through the little city, we join the party at the Melanka's Party Bar.

where they organised some games. With a trick they made some people participating in those games, but they had no idea of what they were in for: some lapdance...
